How to set up an Out of Office (OOF) auto-reply message from Windows Mobile Standard Edition

Found this tip in Microsoft's Newsletter. It applies to Windows Mobile 6.1 non-touch screen phones.

If you use a Windows Mobile 6.1 phone, you can use Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile to send an automatic Out of Office (OOF) message to some or all of the people who send you e-mail messages. This is especially useful when you will not be able to answer e-mail for an extended period of time.

Here's how to do it:

  • Open Outlook on your Windows Mobile phone.

  • Click Menu, click Tools, and then click Out of Office.

  • Customize your settings, and select Done.
