Children get their first mobile phone at average age of 8

Some interesting statistics have been recently published by Telegraph:

Apparently, 8 is the average age at which children are given their first mobile phone. (I had my first one when I was 20...).

75% of all children aged 7 to 15 owned "at least" one mobile phone. (I used to collect transformers action figures that age...)

By the age of 10, children were shopping online using their parents' debit or credit cards and 32% of them used the Internet to buy computer games.

I personally will never let my kid have a mobile phone before he gets 18. It's a matter of education, values, and... what the? Hey! Give me that! Let go of my Pro! Stop it! It's mine! Mmmmmine!!!
