Samsung has confirmed plans to release 3 Android phones this year.
The first of the devices will be launched in June outside the U.S. Hong confirmed that two other Android devices will be released in the U.S. during the second half of 2009.
Avi Greengart, an analyst with industry research firm Current Analysis, says that he expects to see at least a dozen different Android-based handsets released from various manufacturers. Even though there is currently only one-two major devices.
According to him the OS has already become "one of the major mobile platforms."
I've tried the Android for a very short time, and although I didn't like it a lot, it does seem like it's going to evolve into something big real fast.
